Qandêv-resê Sêdè (/ˈvig̃ɘ/ /ˈresɘ/ [aroused (sexually)] [archive]) is a subtropical City located in the Yêmëcê Zone of the Engineer's Guild.

The name Qandêv-resê Sêdè is derived from the Sylvin language, as Qandêv-resê Sêdè was founded by Trêye, who was culturaly Iron Elf.

Climate

Qandêv-resê Sêdè has a yearly average temperature of 22°C (71°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a pleasant 25°C (77°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 20°C (68°F). Qandêv-resê Sêdè receives an average of 257 cm/y (101 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Qandêv-resê Sêdè covers an area of nearly 39 km2 (15 mi2), and an average elevation of 3572 m (11719 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Qandêv-resê Sêdè was founded durring the late 19th century in late summer of the year 1784, by Trêye. The establishment of Qandêv-resê Sêdè suffered from many setbacks, delays, and obsticles, most notably a group of Qandêv-resê Sêdè which required millitary assistance exterminate before the community could finish being built.

Qandêv-resê Sêdè was built using the conventions of Iron Elf durring the late 19th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Qandêv-resê Sêdè is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature plaster covered brickwork used to form structures with an emphasis on symmetry, proportion, geometry and the regularity of parts. Orderly arrangements of columns, pilasters and lintels, as well as the use of semicircular arches, hemispherical domes, niches and aediculae can be found everywhere such that only size of building and yard can be used to measure the general prosparity of a given building's owners due to a general wealthy feeling the style gives off.

Qandêv-resê Sêdè is buildings are arranged arrounded highly ordered system of restrictive flagstone streets which form octogonal paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Whatever industry once fueled Qandêv-resê Sêdè ’s existence has dried up and the city is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up. On top of this is an unmistakable feeling that Qandêv-resê Sêdè is in this condition because there is something terribly wrong with the city. Maybe it’s the way fog blankets the ground, but only in the connors of places. Maybe it’s the vermin scuttling between shadows in the corner of your eyes. Perhaps it’s the overcast sky which seemed to creep out of nowhere, or the distant howling of wolves. Maybe it’s all of those things together, or perhaps it's the way these elements combine which makes you worry someone might stab you in a dark ally for your boots. It’s not filthy, or dark, but the smiles seem strained, the locals seem to glare daggers in eachothers backs a little too much, and everyone is armed at all times. You may want to keep an eye on your valuables, and make sure you don’t wind up in any position of power. Regardless, you do not feel it would be wise to remain in Qandêv-resê Sêdè long.

Qandêv-resê Sêdè has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Qandêv-resê Sêdè has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

One or more crime bosses have a powerful influence within Qandêv-resê Sêdè. They may control crime within the community itself, or they may use it simply as a safe haven from which to direct their minions elsewhere. Local law enforcement may know all about them, but lack the strength to confront them and their paid or intimidated henchmen.

Qandêv-resê Sêdè's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for its functional shapes, abstract shapes used sparingly for decor, simple color schemes, holistic design, and basic industrial materials. Its simple designs were created to be beautiful, functional, and mass-producible. The style used little to no embellishment or ornamentation, instead drawing attention to the streamlined design, such as flat roofs to create a simple, geometric look. The simplicity masks the style's nearly sinister functionality, as every last feature is designed to guide the people living in the building in how to make the most efficient use of the structure.

Due to the actions of local Kami, summer is recurring in Qandêv-resê Sêdè.
